TURQUOISE - December Stone

MARIANA MENA

Turquoise: the color that empowers and the stone that accompanies you this December

December always arrives with its inevitable sparkle: gatherings, short trips, the taste of the holidays. For me, and for all those women who know who they are and what they want, this December we celebrate with TURQUOISE . Although December celebrates two other gems: Tanzanite and Topaz, we'll talk about them another time.

Turquoise isn't just a gemstone: it's a statement. It's that necklace that draws attention and makes you walk a little straighter. It's the color that transforms a simple look into a statement. And at Granate 27, where every piece is born to accompany maturity with pride and color, turquoise is the perfect excuse to celebrate. We offer jewelry made with genuine turquoise and turquoise-colored jewelry, because it's simply irresistible.

It generates a clear image of the turquoise stone

Turquoise symbolizes calm, protection, and clarity , evoking the sea and sky. It is associated with honest communication, creativity, healing, and emotional stability. Throughout history, it has been considered an amulet of protection and good luck in various cultures, such as Native American and Tibetan, and represents abundance, health, and beauty.

A little history. What you'd like to know

Turquoise has a history spanning millennia: from ancient caravans in Central Asia to the workshops of American artisans and the desert guardians of Persia. It has been used as an amulet, a symbol of protection, and an adornment signifying status and good taste. Today, it remains one of the most prized stones for its unique hue: that striking blue-green that is impossible to ignore.

Properties (physical and energetic) — what really matters

  • Composition and hardness: Turquoise is a copper and aluminum phosphate. It is not as hard as a diamond or quartz, so it should be handled with care (I explain care instructions below).

  • Color: It ranges from sky blue to sea green. The shade depends on the minerals present—that variation is what gives it character.

  • Metaphysical properties (the ones we adore): Traditionally, turquoise is associated with protection, emotional balance, clear communication, and the courage to speak your mind. It's not a magic wand, but it is a physical reminder: you wear it and remind yourself that you deserve to shine.

How we use it in Granate 27

In our jewelry, turquoise (the stone or the color) takes center stage or serves as an accent. We combine it with pearls, warm metals, and contrasting semiprecious stones to create statement pieces—pieces that tell a story when you wear them. If there's one thing I've learned designing for women who know their style, it's that jewelry should enhance their presence, not compete with it.

Above all, transparency

At Granate 27, we take care of every detail, and that includes being honest about our stones. If we say it's turquoise, it's turquoise; if it isn't, you'll know right away. We believe in absolute transparency and respect for our customers, which is why we always clearly describe the materials we use. Your trust is an essential part of our jewelry.

Practical care to make your turquoise last

  • Avoid applying perfumes and sprays directly to the stone.

  • Do not expose it to chlorine or abrasive cleaning.

  • Avoid prolonged periods of exposure to the sun or excessive direct light.
  • Gu Store it in the soft bag we give you or packaging box, separate from other pieces that could scratch it.

  • If it gets dirty, clean it with a damp cloth and dry it immediately. Never store it damp.

  • Avoid exposing it to prolonged periods of sun exposure or excessive direct light.

December reminds us that closing a chapter is also an act of beauty. And this year we do it in turquoise: a color that doesn't ask for permission, that illuminates, that balances, that invites us to speak clearly and show ourselves as we truly are. Whether in natural turquoise or in stones that celebrate this same vibrant hue, this month is an ode to presence, to serene radiance, and to the strength that every mature woman carries within her. May this blue-green palette accompany you in your celebrations, your plans, and your upcoming beginnings. May it adorn you, empower you, and remind you of what matters most: your story always deserves to be celebrated.

HAPPY HOLIDAYS!
